I went back and read the thread that led to the disafection. Sadly I get what happened and it seems far too few do.
Didnt anyone see where there were accusations of sexual perversion? That right there is a very big deal and it was treated flippantly.
i am all for talking about situations brought up in the thread. It is something entirely different to project things that are utterly unrelated... and of a sexual perversion nature.
Thats why the Elder got away. And I dont blame him.

Yeah, I agree with you Ferd. The thread got off topic. But Epley could have just not posted on that thread anymore if it made him uncomfortable. He kind of overreacted there.

I was pretty rough on Epley a few weeks back for saying that Trinitarians worship a different Jesus than Oneness folk. I asked him how this "other Jesus" could have given me the Holy Ghost back in 1981 in a Trinitarian Pentecostal church? He dodged the issue.

I didn't report it, but asked him to name one case where it happened. RW has posted odd things before.....but this was just ridiculous. I wasn't offended by it, since it was so completely outlandish and over the top.
He never responded.

The fact is we've had people here that will condemn others, speak of them in derogatory terms and then complain when someone questions them on it or reciprocates.
Then they often condemn this forum and leave with a dramatic exit. It gets old

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

This has always been sort of a user moderated board. Sometimes something isn't necessarily a rule violation and other board members chastise that person and other times it is a rule violation but nobody reports it.
But the fact is people need to read the rules and report violations or what they believe is one
As far as I can see Bro Epley never reported anything and I have to believe then based on that and what he posted his problem is more about this forum being for everyone that is, was and are associated with Apostolic than what someone else posted.
Ive been on other forums and read some of the stuff there and the same sort of personal banter occurs in those forum too.

I don't know if epley approves of them or not. I sure haven't seen him condemn the practice, have you? I've seen him evading giving an answer though.
