He warns people against Sharia Law creeping into the states, people who are clueless concerning Sharia, who wouldn't know Sharia even if it landed on top of them, whose knee jerk response is to cry hear, hear Mr West! Which only fuels the fires of intolerance, and may even endanger our own religious freedoms?
What about Beth Din? What about the Orthodox Jews in Williamsburg Brooklyn? Which Hasidic businesses refused to allow women who aren't dressed according to their dress codes to enter their shops? Or the Hasidic neighborhood embarking on a successful crusade to remove bike lanes from a 14-block stretch of Bedford Avenue so they wouldn't see scantly clad cyclists riding through their neighborhood? Where's Allen West? No where near Besonhurst, or Williamsburg Brooklyn. All this just reminds me of the same propaganda which was perpetrated against the Jews of Poland, and Germany. The International Jew was a documentary produced by the National Socialist Party, to demonize the Jews of Europe. The same thing may be happening now, since the Arab, and Muslim is the new whipping boy, and bug on the leaf to cover maybe a greater problem within ourselves. We start going after other religious freedoms and we may find ourselves with the same sword of Damocles strung up over our own heads.
With respect, Hasidic Jews do not have conquring the world and subjugating them to their religous beliefs at the point of a sword as a tenent of their faith....
