Definition: a male human being; a man, husband.

Right there in bold is the word husband. Now I know that you say that in the context that Paul couldn't possibly be talking about a husband. Well, that's your opinion. Let's look at that scripture in context again.

8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

This is my opinion too, because... no one of us can know exactly the mind of Paul as he was writing, but in looking at this verse from the context of the passage it was found in, Paul is addressing the husband/wife issue here, and which is why the word HUSBAND could certainly be used here (using your source as the reference for husband), as he mentions that the woman (wife) would be saved in childbearing. A single woman, or widow is not childbearing, a wife would be the only one childbearing. So, the context IS husband/wife.

Now, I realize that with all your study of Greek, that it is possible that "much learning hath made you mad" (really, I believe you are sincere, and don't hold that against you). However, you have your opinion about the verse, which is fine. We have ours. Opinions may never meet. But, you continue to choose to acknowledge the fact that Paul taught a woman can prophesy in the church, but get hung up on the "remain silent in church", but you have NEVER SAID how that can be possible.

I have stated that it is possible when a wife is in submission to her husband, that being under his authority, if she has been given a word from the Lord, she can speak.

You are looking at the forest without seeing the trees. Jesus talked ALONE to the Samaritan woman. Why would he do that? How awful, for a MAN to be ALONE with a woman. And then, after He talked to her ALONE, what did she do?

Let's read the verse and see what she did:

John 4
27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?
28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,
29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?
30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

You see, Jesus talked with the Samaritan lady, alone, while his disciples were off buying food. Then, the Samaritan women, went and told the MEN to come and see a man who told me all the things I ever did.

And you know what... many of the Samaritans of that city believed for the saying of the woman.

She was the FIRST WOMAN EVANGELIST Jesus sent... and a very effective one at that.

God Bless you Bro. RDP... but I feel sorry for you, that you would never accept a woman who has been sent by God to preach the gospel. If this woman had listened to the disciples, who were aghast that Jesus would talk to this woman alone, none of those Samaritans would have heard the word of God.

To obey GOD is better than to obey the traditions of men.

We have seen many examples where God not only made provision in both the Old Testament and the New Testament to use women in the ministry as prophets or preachers, but He also did use them in a very eminent manner to His glory and to the salvation of souls. Consistency demands that all scriptures be interpreted in such a way that this fact be recognized.

No M'aam, we have "seen" no such thing - in fact, we've "seen" just the opposite .

Still waiting on someone to demonstrate from the biblical text where any woman exposited from the Scriptures to a congregation:___________?

God's word clearly militates against "women preachers" in the church - they will have to give an account of their rebellion & defiance to His word some day. Honestly hope & pray they find a place of repentance.

Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

Many contradictions I’ve observed in those that do not believe in women preachers....she can sing, testify, prophecy, speak out, teach SS, teach vacation Bible school, teach a song, make vocal sounds.....etc
yet she cannot call herself a preacher or a prophetess....most say, yes I believe in prophetess but not in women preachers....see how many Bible prophetess they have in their church....
Inconsistency coupled with inflexibility produces many problems....

The Bible does not forbid women to "sing, testify, prophecy, speak out, teach SS, teach vacation Bible school, teach a song, make vocal sounds, etc, - but it does forbid them from "preaching" in the church to men. Could not be plainer.

Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

In the Old Testament the prophet Joel (2:28) said that after God poured out His Spirit upon all flesh that “…your sons and daughters shall prophesy.” The Hebrew word for “prophesy” is “naba`” which means to speak or sing under divine inspiration.
In Acts 2:17 Peter echoed those same words. The Greek word for “prophesy,” is “propheteuo” which means, “to foretell events, to make known one’s thoughts, to speak under divine inspiration, use a prophetic office or inspired preaching!” The old men did not immediately dream dreams on the day of Pentecost but it was speaking of future happenings. So this was the same in the prophesying of sons and daughters. That was yet to come.
The word “prophecy” is a noteworthy noun that means, “inspired declaration of God’s will and purpose.” Prophecy in the verb tense means “to proclaim by inspiration the Word of God.” Both means preaching and declaring God’s Word with inspiration. Tracing this word a little further we learn that part of the word means “luminousness” or like shining a light. The prefix “pro” of the Greek word “propheteuo” means “in front of.”
We can apply this word’s meaning to one that is divinely inspired to speak in front of others as to shine light on the Scriptures. Women of God have the same responsibility as the men to shine light on the Scriptures, as the Lord should lead. While the duty of sharing the light is to all let me reiterate I am not speaking of a women getting out of her place, I think I made this clear at the beginning of the book. The promise is to all believers, Acts 2:39. And in Acts 2:15-18, both men and women was given power to prophesy. (Acts 2:18 “And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy.”)
Many Christian women have a place that God has given them in both the ministry and in gifts of His Spirit. If we do not accept this reality, we can make the Word of God of no effect (Mark 7:13). “For the Pharisees and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders,” Mark 7:3.

Here you once again simply speculate precisely what you fail to demonstrate. Where can we see a woman shedding light on the Scriptures to a congregation to men in the Bible:___________? Been asking you that for years now - still waiting for the passage where a woman "is divinely inspired to speak in front of others as to shine light on the Scriptures" - doesn't exist (neither is this the lexical definition of this Greek verb).

Respectfully (& I mean that very sincerely) - You have been caught making innumerable mistakes from the Greek language - & have just been caught again .

Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

Peter the Apostle said in his first letter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood…” Revelation 1:5-6 says that Jesus loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and made us kings and priests unto God. Now, how can I be a king or priest if I’m a woman? Perhaps it is the same way a man can be part of the bride of Christ.
It wasn’t until later that Tertullian a well-known Ante-Nicene Father of the Third Century said that no woman has the right to speak in the church, teach or baptize or anything that pertains to the function of a man or a place in the ministry. He started putting labels on what was deemed as a “manly function” or what a person’s place was in ministry. Perhaps this is what he needed to do because of the upcoming priest and nun separation groups of the Roman Catholic Church. We are no part of that heresy. Remember it was the so called church councils that took women from the pulpits...

Yet you quoted earlier from "Chrysotom," who was a "Trinitarian" & definitely a heretic (do you know what he believed??). Nothing like a little selectivity in our sources 'eh ?
