I know it's ridiculous, but we used to hear this all the time. "If they got the same Holy Ghost that we got, they would straighten up." I got so tired of that, like there are 57 varieties!

Well, in my opinion, Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit are interchangeable words. I don't know why people get offended when you say Holy Spirit. It's a more acceptable understanding to outsiders coming in. Sometimes the word "Ghost" freaks people out.

My biggest problem is that the Holy Spirit has been regulated to an "it" ... in some of circles .... How many times have we heard folks ask "Did he receive it?" ... I know some are speaking about the experience ... but often we forget get "it" is infilling of God in our lives.

I had a preacher tell me that a ghost is a departed spirit and when Jesus departed He sent His Spirit so we should call Him the Holy Ghost. Actually, both mean the same thing. Our English language came from French and German so we have more than one word sometimes to describe the same thing. We have the French espirit and the German geist.

I see where Jonathan Suber was the guest speaker at Christ Life Church in Monroe, La., Pastor Chances church.
Apparently not all of JS's UPC engagements have dried up! I notice I don't see any UPC district meetings on his schedule this year though. No campmeeting preaching for him except for KP's Awakening Campmeeting next month.

Believe it or not Scott, there is much that the AOG preachers can teach Oneness believers. I get so riled by condescending statements that place Oneness Pentecostals as the depository of God's truth, while everyone else is living in deception.
