Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

sometime after that...

One day as we were getting out of the van to make visits, a lady walked up to me and said: " You must be the American everyone talks about that comes to our colony." "Yes, I guess I am." Was my reply. She invited me to go with her to her home. So, I left the ones that were with me, and went with her to her home.
Soon I found out that she and her husband were both lepers, and presidents of the leper society. Soon our conversation turned to spiritual matters. I discovered that they were Spiritist, and very active in their religion. As we talked it seemed that my religion fascinated them. "Is your religion new?" Mrs. Isabel asked me. I replied, "It is the oldest religion on earth." She pondered my words, then as if she could hardly believe what I had told her, she said: "Missionary, I have a story to tell you, and you will understand why we are spiritist. My mother and father both died lepers when I was a young girl. We came from quite a large family so there were quite a few children left for someone to take care of. It was the spiritist religion that took care of the funerals, and they raised us. That is all I have known of religion. Was your religion around back the, Missionary?"
I lowered my eyes and could not meet her gaze, "Yes, it was around," I replied. She shook her head, as if she could hardly believe it. Spiritist because that is all we know were the words that would continue ringing in my ears. In the nineteenth chapter of Acts, Paul was amazed to find those who did not know the Holy Ghost existed. That was twenty-one years after Pentecost. Now, it is almost two thousand years and billions still do not know. That alone is enough to make angels cry!
As time passed Mr. Francisco became convicted of his sins, and he was the second person that we baptized at the leper colony. I rejoice to see him go and bring souls to the Lord. On that day there was joy in heaven, in my heart, and in our Brazilian Church. In time I knew he would be the worker, the preacher that I dreamed about at the leper colony. I am so glad that I found the preacher of my dream!

And for those who would doubt my word there are people still alove today that went many times with me there...You may contact Sister LaVada George to confirm these and other things I have talked about. Or you may contact Sister Deborah Burris. Both went many times with me.

Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

In my mind is yet a vivid picture. I still remember the first time that I walked into Emilia's room. Just a small little lady with no legs or fingers. After a few introductory words, she looked me in the eyes and said: "Missionary, are you afraid of us lepers?" Looking at her small helpless frame, suddenly I realized that all fear was gone "No, Emilia, we are not afraid." She said, "Then come sit on my bed and talk to me." For sixty years, she had been a leper! It was yet during her life time that lepers were caught like wild animals and put away in walled cities that were like prisons. No one was even allowed to leave.
Slowly she told the story that soon we would hear from so many, the frightening experience of discovering that you are a leper. The shame, the agony, the pain, the fear that lepers know so much about. We became good friends. Every Thursday, we read the Bible to her, and since light is stronger than darkness, we soon notice her soul's awakening. Plans were being made for our first service at a church at the colony. Sister Sonia, sister Olga and I were so excited. We had cleaned the church building that had been loaned to us. Emilia asked: "Is it true you all are having a baptismal service Sunday?" "Yes," we replied at the same time. With a twinkle in her eyes she asked: "Would you consider baptizing a poor limbless leper like me?"
She had heard the music of His call. Emilia was baptized in the lovely Name of Jesus, and it has made a difference in her life. Even though she has since then gone blind, she still has a smile, because her life has been changed.

Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

Josefina...
There were still traces of what had once been a beautiful lady. Though there was a shine in her blue eyes, she was completely blind. Her story like the story of all the lepers we had met had a beginning many years ago. Sit on my bed and I'll tell you about my life. Holding her finger less hands in mine, I listened intently as she told one of the saddest stories I have ever heard.
At eighteen she had married her childhood sweetheart, and at twenty-one she had given birth to her first baby. What a thrill. They were so happy, but then it was discovered that she had contacted the dreaded leprosy. Her baby was abruptly taken away from her, and by force she was compelled to live in a leper colony. In those days, there was no escape. Her husband knowing that he would never see her again committed suicide. The loss of his lovely wife was just too much to bear. Her happiness had ended; she was locked inside the solitary, separated world of outcasts. In those days there was little treatment for leprosy.
Days faded into weeks, weeks into months, months into years. Now it had been over fifty years that she had been there. During that time she had completely lost one leg, and most of the foot on the other leg. All of her fingers had fallen off, and her eyesight was gone. She had been Roman Catholic all her life, and now it was the Spíritists that were taking care of her. Where would a Christian missionary fit into her world? Time would tell.
The words of a great man of God of ancient days gone by rang over and over in my heart. "Let us not grow weary in well doing for we shall reap if we faint not…" Every Thursday we read the Bible to her. One day she said to me: "Missionary, you have great patience with an old leper like me, I am beginning to understand the way to heaven."
She was born December 2, 1911. She was put into a leper colony, long before I was ever born. I will never forget what she said the day she told me of her life. "Lepers are birds without nests." No one wants a leper, she told me. The saving of souls is a serious task. It should mean a life of consecration and faith. We should have a successful resolution not to be brought under by the power of things that domineer over most men and arrest the attention of those who look on. May God help us to be splendidly unhindered (Col. 3:1-3) (Heb 12:1-4) by the things that keep so many back. Let us see to it that our feet tread only in His footsteps. Let us make no new footprints of our own! (1Peter 2:21)

Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

Would I undo the good that I have done? Would I unwash the souls that have been made pure because someone does not understand Paul's writings? No, a thousand times no...I would walk into a colony again...Many of their lives were changed and they were transformed into HIS image...
The arrows you try to pierce me with will never hurt compared to the joy of seeing a leper...a witch doctor...a prostitute become a follower of Jesus....Sorry...I made my calling sure a long time ago.... a very long time ago......

I suppose I am one of the targets of this post so let me put it this way. I don't count. It is God's harvest not mine. FTR there have been many though I cannot nor will I give a number.

The ignorance of the question is found in a couple of quick examples.
Jeremiah - How many do you suppose he "won"? Was he somehow out of the will of God?
What about poor old Noah - only 8 people out of a world of multitudes. Was he somehow out of the will of God?

Perhaps you are one of those that seek after a sign? Seems like I read somewhere that one plants and another waters but it is God that gives the increase.

A calling does not mean there will be millions saved. A calling means doing what He has called to do and that is the measurement of success. Obedience to God and His word.

Maybe we could discuss how many shirts have each taken off their own back (really outta their closet) and given away for the cause of Christ?

How many of those involved, left the comforts of a first world country to travel to a backwards poverty ridden dangerous place, to teach people about a Jesus who loves them and wants to live in their hearts?

wait. on all these counts Sister Alvear is gonna scoreboard everybody. That might not be fare to the internet warriors who havent done jackdidly in the real world, but play like it on internet forums when they tell women to SHUT UP.

LOL.

Dear Sister Alvear, I love and respect you. Your service to the Kingdom is awe inspiring and more than a little intemidating (even if I cant spell it). I pray for you and your wonderful Apostle-esk husband on a regular basis.
Not surprising. You want everyone to demonstrate their Christianity, to pat themselves on the back. You have no idea the sacrifices made yet are completely arrogant in your ignorance of those facts. I could, as well as others, tell multitudes of stories but I am not going to fall into the trap of pride to try to pat myself on the back or have anyone else try to pat me on the back. He who sees in private will reward openly. Also, I could care less if he openly blesses me or not. I do what I believe is right regardless of the consequences.

Just another example revealing the idiosyncrasies of those who support an un-biblical position.

It has not been that long since I have read the Bible, I just wish you would please get its facts straight.

It is alright for you to exercise authority over another woman's husband but not your own, according to your position.

You say it is a wife and husband in 1 Tim 2, so the prohibition is a woman must be silent in the home while learning in submission, when in 1 Cor 14, Paul said that was the place for her to ask her husband, for it was not permitted and was a shame for her speak in the church.

You said women were chief leaders, had authoritative words, all along positioning yourself as only a voice. A voice that is in direct conflict with undeniable Biblical prohibitions.

You are constantly posting about a calling, a visitation from Jesus so your adoring throng on this forum will come along and reaffirm their affirmation for you. It didn't impress me the first time I saw the tendency nor does it now. Do I feel like God called you, Yes! He called you to be a saint, the highest calling any of us could have. I believe you can pray, prophesy, teach women and children, be a keeper at home, guide a house, BUT God is not going to call you to do something that in contradiction to his order of nature and more importantly His Word!

If you would like to go ahead and repost your copy and paste for another 100 pages, go ahead, I am sure there are a few on here that will be happy to show it was in error the first time you posted it and will be in error the next time as well.
