We should not have attacked anyone. Our leaders knew we were going to be attacked at Pearl Harbor. Yet we did nothing so there could be a reason to enter the war.

I am not a pacifist. I think the correct term is isolationist.

For the sake of argument lets just say we did everything right in WW2. We can not base every decision we make on one situation. Ukraine is not WW2. Just like Iraq was not WW2.

Yes I would have been opposed to fighting Nazi Germany. I know the reason you asked me this question so that you can make me look like one of the bad guys. I do not think standing up for peace and logical debate is a bad thing though.

Most US citizens were isolationist. The President at that time was doing everything in his power to get us in the war. Later the presidents letters were released, the letters he sent to other leaders prove this.

This is what pro war people always do. They want to talk endlessly about WW2 but never mention WW1.

What happened in WW1? Two small nations got into a fight. Instead of letting them battle it out Everybody decided to pick a side. So millions of soldiers died for something that was not a global problem.

I can not tell you what to be.

What I can do is make up my own mind and then try to persuade other people to hear my argument.

There should be more pacifist in the world. I like pacifist.

I personally can not see a world were pacifism works. So I am an isolationist. Fight only if you have to.

I am not a drug addicted dirty hippie. I am a Veteran that fought for my country who voted Republican my whole life. I am as conservative as they come.

For too long the right and now the left have told us we have to go to war every few years so that the nation will be safe. What they don't tell you is that we give money, weapons and training to soldiers one year and then we go fight the same soldiers a few years later.

If a person wants to support actions overseas I understand. I do not agree but I understand. But let's be more selective of who we support, who we fight and have a plan for actually winning. Too many times the soldiers are sent over with impossible rules of engagement.

One last thing. Why do thousands of people die in Africa but we never go help them? If we say that we are going over there to save lives let's be consistent.
