where exactly is this church? this isn't Bishop Boone is it?

i still like those songs but oddly enough even n many black churches they are getting away from singing them-have you noticed? Donnie McClurkin on his last project complained about it along with the fact that many of the young musicians can't play these very simple songs
Man... we are in some "old song" vortex here lately...

I read the first sentence in this post and suddenly my minds cassette player took off with....

Take me back
Take me back dear Lord
To the place where I first received you
Take me back
Take me back dear Lord
Where I first believed.

Whew... Good ole New Kingdom Heirs... Davis/Pediggo (sp?)... dem was the days.

good alter call song. that song was actually written by andre crouch.

BTW, all you Andre crouch fans, they just had his and his sister's 40 years in ministry celebration and what a line up they had! I should have saved the Email on it. It was held at his church New Christ Memorial COGIC in L.A

LOL!! Why was that hilarious, son?! You're as Black as me and love it!!

And I agree...my nephew once told me that David wrote that we ought to sing unto the Lord a NEW song.

I said, "Hon, 'new' in the Hebrew is fresh...Amazing Grace can become fresh and new to you...!!"

Darius Brooks and milton's Widow are carrying on with the choir.
I don't think they will ever be what they once were though. milton made that choir.

how did you know we don't sing on sunday nights?
we mostly sing in the morning. can you come then ?
also, our musician team will be gone one sunday- the same one that J&J will be gone to Gmwa
