Read the information for yourself and you can decide. His mother is and was a US citizen.

CRS Report for Congress
Prepared for Members and Committees of Congress
Qualifications for President and the “Natural Born” Citizenship Eligibility Requirement

The weight of more recent federal cases, as well as the majority of scholarship on the subject, also indicates that the term “natural born citizen” would most likely include, as well as native born citizens, those born abroad to U.S. citizen-parents, at least one of whom had previously resided in the United States, or those born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent who, prior to the birth, had met the requirements of federal law for physical presence in the country. (233)

(233) See now 8 U.S.C. §1401(a) - (h). Under current law, at 8 U.S.C. §1401(g), a person born abroad to one U.S. citizen-parent would be a citizen at birth if that parent had resided in the United States for at least five years, two of which were after the time the parent was 14 years of age.

Re: It's Time To Draft Ted Cruz for President

Of all the troubling aspects of the Obama presidency, none is more dangerous than the President's persistent pattern of lawlessness, his willingness to disregard the written law and instead enforce his own policies via executive fiat.

Sen. Cruz has been documenting the Obama Administration’s lawlessness and other abuses of powers in a series of reports, beginning in April 2013.

The Legal Limit Report No. 1: U.S. Supreme Court Rejects Department of Justice’s Expansive View of Federal Power
SCOTUS unanimously rejects Obama Administration’s arguments for expanded federal power nine times

The Legal Limit Report No. 2: The Obama Administration’s Lawless Acts on Obamacare and Continued Court Challenges
Repeatedly, the Administration has ignored the plain text of Obamacare, its “signature legislative achievement.”

The Legal Limit Report No. 3: The Obama Administration’s Assault on Texas
The State of Texas has been forced to file multiple lawsuits to prevent the Obama Administration from encroaching on powers reserved for the States.

The Legal Limit Report No. 4: The Obama Administration’s Abuse of Power
A catalogue of power grabs regarding national security, Obamacare, the economy, executive nominees, free speech, privacy and more.

New Emails Show Need for Special Prosecutor to Investigate IRS Targeting
Sen. Cruz: Statements made by President Obama and Attorney General Holder “facially inconsistent”

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, today sent the following letter to Attorney General Eric Holder asking that he reconsider appointing a special prosecutor to investigate the illegal targeting program conducted by staff at the Internal Revenue Service in direct communication with the Department of Justice.

Sen. Cruz first requested that a special prosecutor be appointed to the case on January 22, 2014. On March 10, 2014, Attorney General Holder declined to do so. Now, in light of credible evidence that has surfaced indicating that the Department of Justice may have been involved in that illegal program, Sen. Cruz is asking Attorney General Holder to revisit appointing a special prosecutor with the independence and objectivity to fairly investigate the matter.

In his letter Sen. Cruz wrote:

I am not against Mike Pence. He is setting up a great track record for a run and I expect he will. He is doing a great job as Governor of Indiana!

Many people have stated they don't know Ted Cruz. Hence, the purpose of this thread.

Well, ive got a problem. my BIG issue with BHO... and an issue I still believe is a major source of problems for the country was BHOs lack of experiance. He was a jr senator with less than 100 days on the job.

Cruz has a couple years under his belt as a senator but no other major experiance that I know of.... I LIKE HIM A LOT as for as his principles and the way he operates. He is polished and has a lot to seriously like. but I am still not sure I want another guy who lacks certain chops.

If you remember that was my issue with Pence last time around. He has taken serious steps to fill in those gaps and I could really get behind him now.

Yes, and I do agree with you - it is going to be a Governor, it always has been.

I would much prefer Cruz to be our Governor in the near future.

Back to Mike Pence. I knew that he had a good Conservative record, but was concerned about his mannerisms that so closely resembled GWB. Without saying anything to my son, I showed him a short clip and he remarked, "Wow, he reminds me of GWB." LOL!

Now that he has some experience as Governor, I have noticed he has become more of his own man. I am very happy to see that.

He is more charismatic than Scott Walker, who I am also not totally opposed to. It looks like they are trotting Mike Pence out very slowly. I would be all for him, of course. He has done some great things in his state, recently, ending the death tax.

Re: It's Time To Draft Ted Cruz for President

Has anyone who wants this blow hard as their POTUS actually looked at his voting record? Or are they going by how he talks the talk? What was the point of him voting against aid for hurricane sandy victims? Voted NO on reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act. Voted NO on protecting ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes ecosystems.
