Re: Alaska
There are a lot of ex-Alaskans here in this state, Idaho. In fact, many people call Idaho the Alaska of the lower 48. We live in northern Idaho, which is quite different from southern Idaho (more desert-like). Here in northern Idaho, you get all the hunting, fishing, incredible scenery, wildlife, relaxed gun laws, long summer days (sunrise 4 a.m. to sunset 9:30 p.m. in June), usually getting into the 90-100s in peak July-Aug., with winter temperatures generally being in the 20s, sometimes dipping down into the teens or 0, but not that often. It is an incredible place to live. We absolutely love it. Not to mention the fact that land is pretty cheap out here.
