I must warn you, however, there is no total cure, only management of personal resources because once you have SCHS it morphs into other syndromes such as SKHS (School Kid in the House Syndrome). It will eventually morph into the dreaded THS (Teenager in the House Syndrome). Eventually you will end up with YAHS (Young adult in the house syndrome) or ENS (empty nest syndrome). There is no cure.

LOL.... I second this diagnosis!!! Once a mother... always a mother! Although difficult times ebb and flow, and there are transitional periods that at times are easier... a saying comes to mind "this too shall pass".... and time will pass and eventually someday you may look back on this time in your life with wistful thoughts!
I remember when my kids were small, I couldn't wait for them to grow up. Now they are teenagers/young adults, and I wish I could press the stop button to keep them from growing and changing so quickly, and go back to those years that I had tried to put on fast forward!
Try to find joy in the journey, if you can. It helps to just manage one day at a time, instead of trying to figure out the future. That has helped me immensely in the times when I felt exhausted, and worn out from all the duties of motherhood.
