I know that for those in the south, spring has long since passed, and summer has arrived. For us up here in the north, spring has been slowly making an entrance.

I've got a few pansies and petunias that are surviving the cold so far. I planted a peony last year, and it has a bud on it, but it hasn't bloomed yet. I have black ants that keep attacking the bud, and I keep fighting with them for my bud! I think I need to put some sulfur on the plant to keep the ants off.

We have a lot of wild roses up in this country, and they are getting buds on them and should bloom soon, I hope. I love love love the wild roses, they are just gorgeous. I will post a picture of them when they start blooming.

Thank you...they are peonies.

Well, I had full intention of taking photos of my peonies and putting them out here but we have had some deluge rains and all the petals were washed off!

We've had a lot of rain here too. I planted one peony busy last fall, and it has got one happy bloom on it. I'll try to take a picture of it and post it later. It is good to see the sun shining today after about 3 days of heavy rain. My garden should be happy!
