Re: Is TV now the norm in the UPCI home?

One solution to this whole dilemma is for Christians to buy a channel and then start creating wholesome shows, besides the preaching.

Look back at some of early television and you see that yes it is possible to produce wholesome programming.

Frankly, I do not know how people have time to watch it.

I do not have a television nor watch Hollywood movies because I am spiritual I do not have one because I am carnal enough without them or their influence. I don't want the added trash in my mind. I am exposed to enough filth without importing more into my mind.

Excellent line of logic we could all benefit from.

I'm not legalistic on the issue. I'd never condemn a man merely for owning a television. However I cannot deny the dangers that television presents.

Some topics never die.

Its highly hypocritical to preach against TV and still use the internet with all the ads and pop ups and carnality and on and on it goes. No blocking device is 100% fool proof.

Preach against/on the sin, the danger, the problems, but don't get online and then preach against the device being in someone's home.
