Re: Question?

Some have abandoned Christ and walking in the Spirit for the traditions of men. Sadly, they will become fuel for the fire, though they believe God will reward them for living by their petty man-made lists of rules and regulatory traditions of men.

I believe the earliest example of "pants" originated among the women working the rice patties in China.

Pants are a woman's garment. Real men wear kilts! lol
Wondered if someone would take the bait...

Since the disciples all wore robes, then we probably should too!

As someone who is probably looked at as an ultra-con on here, I will just say that there is more Bible for beards than against them.
I have heard this stated numerous times by various pastors through the years.
However, most pastors still do not want their members to have them as a form of basic "identity".

We should defy being identified with anything other than Christ Jesus.

Is it strange doctrine to ask that our doctrine who call ourselves "Apostolic" be proven to have been taught by the APOSTLES? After all in discussions about water baptism, Oneness, and Holy Spirit baptism you demand scripture as our guide right?

Do you approach Trins on the basis of "preference" or the written word? It works the same way. I am a 3 step Oneness Pentecostal who teaches holiness and perfection presented by Christ.

To me the Oneness, Pentecostal, Apostolic world you speak of got bogged down with false doctrines and traditions of men to the point where it does not seem like the Christianity I read about in the Bible.

Why no comment on my illustration about "suit wearers"? If you use the hippies as an excuse to preach against beards why not preach against suits and ties? It would work the same way?

Crooked Politicians, Cosa Nostra, Hollywood actors, CIA, yes TRINITARIANS wear them!

YIKES!

Were hippies worse than these?

And this has been going on for many decades where "hippies" only lasted one.

Why the double standard?

Amen! Men having shaved heads is also something of a rebellious origin just like beards, yet that has not been preached against.

Let not your good be evil spoken of.

Obviously, there were "things", even in NT times, that were not wrong but could be construed as "wrong".

Re: Question?

I never stand on pants. It makes them dirty.

Re: Question?

Just for the record.....my personal preference is that women would wear full length dresses. Altho better for them to wear loose fitting pants than dresses that don't fully cover.

Aha! Now we have it.... the real Apostolic standard should be loose-fitting clothing!
