Who Is Your Relationship With?

I have noticed a number of people staring they have given up on God because of how someone in church offended them.

I thought about that after reading a post of someone that has come back on AFF.

Those that left search your heart on who were you trying to please while in church, man or God?

You will always be offended at some point by man, you can count on it. I would highly recommend everyone at some time read "The Bait of Satan" by John Bevere. I know he is not a Pentecostal but what he says is right on target.

I hate to see anyone lose their soul because of what man has said or done to them. And yes many have been done wrong, not arguing that point, but how you respond is what I will argue with. Look at what Jesus did for you instead of what man did to you.

Before you say you don't know what it is like to have a minister cause you to fall. I do. Been there done that, but a wise woman of God sent me a message "no one can make you backslide, it is your choice". And I have found that to be true.

We don't usually quit work when when someone does us wrong there but too often we quit church in a heartbeat. We need to love God more than all these people and what they can say or do. We need a deep relationship with God that can't be shaken. In the last days everything that can be shaken will be shaken.

Not pointing fingers at any one person, but hope you would do a personal inventory of what you will say to God when you stand before Him. And I believe that day to be very soon, and eternity is for ever. Please make a wise choice and never let pride stop you from doing what you need to do.

I believe He is coming back soon, ask God to search your heart and not yourself.

Hope everyone on this forum makes heaven, but we will be judged by His Word.

Re: Who Is Your Relationship With?

I am reminded of someone sharing a conversation with an offended soul at church.

"I am sick of coming to church with these hypocrites."

The response:

"I'd rather be in church with a few hypocrites than to spend eternity in Hell with ALL of them."

Excellent post Esther. Ultimately we are responsible to God and not man.

If you don't like all the hypocrites at church then go get a bunch of new converts.
