amen. For whatever reason, MtDs choices are not comfortable for me. i doubt it matters why--but i'll say that i initially loved the soundtrack of My Brother's Keeper, even tracked it down and bought it; and then i started listening to the lyrics. They're horrible. Great music tho!

If the lyrics are biblical and the message is biblical... it honors Christ. Now, some may not "feel" that they can worship to a Heavy Metal Christian song... others might. When it comes to subjects like this... I say... it's an individual conviction with regards to what YOU can worship to.

I'll have to admit that a lot of contemporary music that I listened to and liked, had what I called "weak lyrics". That is not to say every song has to have specific words, doctrines or christian phrases to be christian. But it makes me wonder if the words were written first or the music and then the words as an afterthought to fit the music. Then again if music is trying to reach someone far off or speak to certain issues it may not be worded like a traditional hymn.

Seems to me that some groups are so talented or have good taste(chord progressions) in what sounds good. Matter of fact unchristian music may sound good, but I wouldn't support listening to it. I think outside of church people should try to follow the teaching of the church body they are connected to, but there may be some flexibility there. In church there should be music that all can worship with and no one should have to wonder, is this Christian?

That was horrible. Was that a church that let such a abomination be presented? Jesus is not my by boyfriend he is my God and that analogy was sick.
