We are to be known to all men as disciples of Christ when we have love one to another. Even if we disagree on minor things, by our love one to another, is how the world, and all men will know that we are disciples of Jesus Christ. Love is a difficult thing to achieve, and it may be hard to love a brother in Christ who sees some things differently than ourselves, but this is what we must do, as commanded by the Lord Jesus himself. |
"A NEW commandment!" No wonder folks rejected Jesus! They had been taught to hate their enemies and along comes Jesus with this NEW teaching of love. I long deep in my soul to be able to love like Jesus taught us to love.
