Re: Apostolic Friends Forum
BTW we did not start nor name the forum. None of the Admins that I am aware of were involved
The founders of the forum, ie, the original owners and admins, were made up of a group including conservative UPC ministers
That group included 2 Pastors (one is no longer a pastor). One of them currently is still Pastoring and is a conf speaker
They, along with their group who were regular members, all decided to leave.
If it's not Apostolic enough for you here, that's why

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Re: Apostolic Friends Forum
Generally, Apostolics (traditional) dont like to have their religious views challenged. Most prefer the safety of a private forum where only high fives are acceptable.
There are some brave souls that still hang around this forum. They need to beware, lest they become enlightened.

If what you believe cannot stand the fire and testing, then is it really worth believing in?

I said the NAME of the forum has deceived many, only due to the fact that posters from all persuasions post on this forum. And it is still true as it was when I posted. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, tho some are not Apostolics. I am not asking anyone to leave the forum, nor suggesting they do, due to the fact that they believe something else. If we all thought alike, every lady here may want my husband. I wouldn't appreciate that, because in January, we well have made it to 50 years together.

Many folks (not just Apostolics) get so locked in and dogmatic about their world and religious views that they don't really consider that they possibly could be wrong. Any challenge is considered a threat. Especially if enlightenment to a different view might come with a heavy cost of life-long friendships and shunning. Some that were in the Apostolic camp have paid dearly!

I believe most all of the posters on this forum have an Apostolic Oneness connection.

Is being an Apostolic and having a Oneness Connection one in the same? For years, though my husband was raised Apostolic, married me and made a profession of his Faith in the Baptist Church and was Baptized in the Titles. Though he had a Oneness Connection, he did not Claim to be Apostolic. He was even elected Deacon in the Baptist Church. At that time he was Baptist.

So does your husband go to church with you now? Or is he still part of the Baptists?
