You're saying it's all coincidence that Revelation parallels the exodus events, and that Jerusalem is even called spiritual Egypt in Revelation? Seriously? Go ahead and count all the points i compared between the two accounts. Then tell us it's all coincidence.

Your commentary on it just opens up the imagination to deeper illuminations.

Re: Mark of the beast idea

I was reading the comparisons of Exodus and Revelation. Wow, QUITE AN IMAGINATION.

God opening the Red Sea and Satan sending a river to destroy Israel...A parallel passage ?

I would be humiliated to teach that to any saint that has even a minor understanding of prophecy.

Is it coincidence that Islamic eschatology is an anti-parallelism of Futurist eschatology?

I'm sure I can find many references to "trees" and show how it might make some spiritual sense for them being symbolic of people. It's eisegesis. Most Gentile Christians in the first century wouldn't have the book of Exodus. People think they had a Bible like ours. They didn't. Picture the early Gentile church walking around, each with a big bag on their backs filled with 66 scrolls. LOL

I read all the parallels that you posted between Revelation and Exodus and it was good, but there are way many more than what you just quoted.

Perhaps you just wanted to give a few examples rather than a whole comparison.

One could probably go thru the whole book of Revelation and find almost a complete verse by verse parallel in Exodus.
