I pointed this out to someone who only heard futurism before, and they were so taken by this and said, "It never made sense to me to read that chapter and see Jesus use the terms YOU and YE and allegedly refer to us thousands of years later."

lol...typical fear mongering, anti obama, "obama is a muslim" propaganda...it's getting old, these folks should move on...
Btw, persecution (including beheading) has been occurring for many many years sine the inception of the church, so why is it that the thought of it happening in the USA implies the end of the world??

So I suppose NONE of the teachings of Christ have reference to us.
That is the great damage done to those who accept preterism.

Most things Jesus said in the Gospels were to them but FOR US ALL. But when Jesus gave particular signs to people listening to Him that would only occur in one short span of time, we cannot say that words that apply to everyone in the church for so long as there is a church are the intended audience. Many things said to THEM span all the church age, like the sermon on the mount in Mat 5-7. All of the parables apply to everyone in the church age. But time-limited events do not.

Because so many thing everything in the New Testament is for THE USA and no other nation.

Tell that to every believer ever persecuted in more serious ways than this all through the church history somewhere in the world.

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
