47 Baptized in Jesus Name this weekend!
This past weekend our church had one of its Praise & Worship nights (these are on a Friday night and have been quarterly but now at 3 times a year). We always incorporate a baptismal service at the end of the Praise & Worship night then make that Sunday's lesson one on baptism and continue baptizing folks all three services.
Between the Friday night Praise & Worship service and the three Sunday services we baptized a total of 47 people in Jesus name this weekend!
We had probably close to one thousand people show up for Praise & Worship night with the weather in the 20's which is very cold for Middle Tennessee.
This weekend puts our total number of people baptized in Jesus name YTD at around or just over 300!
With all of the depressing news of the inroads Satan seems to be making in America with Islam gaining converts and evil seeming more active than ever I wanted to share this good news that there are still folks coming to Christ and identifying with him in the waters of baptism.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
