Your reference to my contribution to Obama's 1st presidential campaign was my simply stating a fact, NOT boasting. But it was as a direct result of your comments in response to that statement (which seemed to practically sentence me to eternal torment by the flames of hell for an act which you deemed to be akin to blasphemy), is precisely what caused me to rethink my position about future contributions, and since then I have ceased ALL such contributions and involvement in anything "political," except voting.
Oh, by the way, I will also tell you that I contributed to George H.W. Bush campaign because I believed his stated agenda was better than Clinton's (I was wrong, of course, for notwithstanding his lack of morals, I believe he became an excellent President). Do I become the recipient of your "conservative" wrath for that as well?
And I am NOT a Democrat! I am an American citizen with the inherent right to vote for whomsoever I believe will best do the greater good for the majority, which, as I've stated, does not always end up that way. (Yes, I voted for Obama a 2nd time as well, for when I had to pay out 35% on an income of just over 220 thousand, and to learn that Romney only paid 14% on several millions, there was just NO way that someone who believed that was "fair taxation" was going to receive my vote). Call me an Independent if you want, but I am not beholden to any political party or philosophy. When I vote, regardless of the poltical party of the candidate, I am fully cognizant that I am NOT voting for a Pastor, but only a President. And the act of casting a vote, in my opinion, is not causing myself to become "entangled with the affairs of this life."
Just a brief personal observation here for what its worth: I think you would do much better to restrict your activities to God's campaign and leave the political and "civil disobedience" stuff to those of the secular society. But then, that's just my opinion (hoping you don't cast me into the lake of fire again for that statement also).
