I believe both.

We grow through the leading of the power of the Holy Ghost who trains up a child in the way they should go. We submit ourselves to the mighty hand of God an He leads us to still waters.

Last time I was traveling through Dallas I was on my way to Jasper Texas to preach.

It was raining and I was behind a man who had a ladder on his car. Well, the ladder fell off and I ran it over. When I did this my right driver side tire blew out. I pulled to the side of the road, and my wife and my daughter who was 2 years old at the time was sleeping on the back seat. I got out of the car to change the flat during rush hour in the rain, and my wife got out to hold an umbrella over me. It was too dangerous (because of the cars coming so close) I told her to go back with the baby. She said she wouldn't leave me and she could hear the baby if the child made a stir. I got the new tire on, and when I did my wife walked back and got into the car because I was finished. At that moment a truck smacked me in the back with its side mirror. It hurt pretty bad, I thought my back was sliced open. But I had to be in Jasper on time. So back behind the wheel, my wife asking me if I was alright and I headed towards Jasper. When I got there I didn't have time to clean up, but the pastor called me up and I apologized for the way I looked, and he didn't care, and told me to preach. I preached the spirits of just men made perfect in greasy denim, and a greasy plaid shirt.

This incidence of the destruction of heaven and earth is not likely to be the same one mentioned in Revelation 6:12-14 during the fall of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 as many preterists often suppose[xxii] since vs. 1-7 mention a thousand year period after the binding of Satan in v. 2. As stated above, Satan is bound during the aftermath of the Jewish war with Rome and released one thousand years later according to v. 7. Therefore, this incidence of the destruction of heaven and earth seems to have occurred one thousand year after the binding of Satan around the time of the Jewish War.

Mike, do you agree with this.

I gotta know.

Just a yes or no.

Is the passage in Rev. 20 "really" speaking of the Jews and temple passing away?

Like this...

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth(Jews) and the heaven(temple) fled away; and there was found no place for them.(Jews and temple)

Please tell me yes or no if you view it this way.

Mike, this is the most important thing I have heard about preterism in 2 years.

I know there are different levels of preterism, but is this(statement above) correct?

Is verse 11 about the Jews and Temple?

Mike, this question is for you alone, nobody else.

If so, then please show us how they got it wrong....thanks.

To be specific, is your preterism different than their preterism?

Re: Why I am Now Convinced of a Pre-Trib Rapture

Thanks for reading Kitty. You can make your decisions freely and I am fine with it. I only pointed out the "opposing" point of view so you could get a full perspective of the conversation.

Some folks have never heard the opposing point of view, so I believe in open minded opposite opinions meeting together and sharing their points of view.(even if no agreement happens).

I was indoctrinated as pre trib, so I have a curious nature to see what others' ideas are.

Sorry about the red words. I debate alot and folks complained in the beginning about who is who in the arguments. That was my quick fix and it helps me in the discussion.
