What I mean is that every number in scripture has a literal interpretation. The purpose is being ready not understanding all the details of all prophecies.

But Peter was quoting the Psalm which speaks of man's brevity, and how fast God moves. Peter wasn't telling his reader that God cannot communicate with men due to men being unable to understand what time dimension God is living.
In Revelation we are told that the angel came to John to signify to his servants what must soon take place, because the time was near. There is actually no other way to take those words. Yet you are saying that they are not only one thousand years (God's Thousand Day Clock), but two thousand? I mean, the clock is ticking away, and John was told two thousand years ago for the reason that things must soon take place, because the time was close.
So, could you show me how everyone was to know that the soon warning of Revelation wasn't going to happen shortly, quickly, or that the time was actually near?
Sorry to come into this late, but I missed that you answered my post.
