Why I Am A Futurist

I have just had the thought. In the book I think 1 Samuel when the children of Israel said give us a king so we can be like the other nations it is just like that. The nation of Israel wanted to cease being the kingdom of God and be a kingdom like other nations. From that time to now there has been small revivals as a nation, but throughout scripture I don't see them ever really getting a foot hold again. The natural nation of Israel was contented to just be another kingdom instead of being the kingdom of God. I am broad brushing the nation of Israel and I realize that, because I know there has always been a remnant who continued to serve God.
