Well, this dream that this "Catholic" had DROVE me to water baptism in Jesus' name that very week for fear of being left behind.

I guess SATAN was the one that drove me to such a dramatic conversion that very week of Oct. 7, 1979 right?

I personally think you need to check your walk with God when hurling accusational judgement at folks without knowing the facts of their conversion.

Wowser!! What an outrageous and slanderous accusation! Here I was only attacking your corrupt doctrine, BUT NOT YOU, and you turn right around and do the very opposite to one who seeks only to get you to "open your blinded eyes" to what the scriptures say! Amazing indeed!

Sean, you've repeatedly stated on this forum that you are a teacher, and one of the greatest traits of a "good" teacher is to ALWAYS maintain a "teachable attitude." This is an attribute which you have failed to demonstrate that you possess, but even more than that, it appears NOT to be one you even cherish having. So how can you ever hope to increase your knowledge of any matter, or even to correct an error which might be present in your own tenaciously held belief about any matter, unless, and until you are willing to set aside, at least temporarily (but not discard altogether) that which you have accepted and believed to be the truth, so that you might, in a non-biased and objective manner, take a close "second look" at that which you were most confident of its truthfulness at first glance?

As I have informed you before, there was a time in my life, and, in fact for an extended period, when I tenaciously embraced and defended a pre-trib rapture teaching. But as I began to examine each facet of it over a period of time, accompanied by much prayer and fasting, I finally concluded that it was so thoroughly corrupt that it could be called nothing less than a "doctrine of devils." And as with any such heresy, its sole purpose was that of concealing a lie, so I had to then make an even greater investment of time, prayer and fasting in an effort to determjne what great truth the rapture heresy was designed to conceal, and with the help of the Holy Ghost I was able to do that.

If you are ever able to realize the sincerity with which I state these things to you, and are willing to set aside your biased beliefs long enough to allow you ample time to consider and scripturally verify the merits of those things that God has revealed to me about these critical and ever-increasingly relevant matters, then I would be most pleased to explain them to you.

This has nothing to do with attitude Lafon.

God used a dream 1 week before I was saved to tell me that I needed to be baptized.

The dream was that if dont get baptized, I will miss the rapture. I begged God to take me when I saw the rapture take place and to save me, I saw saved family members ascend before me and then angels came and baptized me, then I resurrected with them. It was soooo real I woke up pounding my pillow. begging God to save me!


I felt the Holy Ghost soooo strong upon awakening. I almost collapsed several times under the power of God while walking to work about a mile.

I was baptized the following Sunday and INSTANTLY delivered from all of my vices because of the dream and the POWER of God I felt all week long, provoking me to get baptized.

You think it was SATANIC Lafon.

Well, I WAS an actual miracle.(a former sinning machine).....

All because of a dream of missing the rapture that you reject theologically.

Just think about the undeniable experience I had from God that you just attacked.

Lafon, you just told a man that his miraculous dream, which was the very pillar of his conversion is of SATAN!!!

Church of Christ preachers say that miracles are of the devil Lafon. You are half way there!

Do you believe Joseph's words spoken to Pharaoh where he described the manner by which one is to determine whether the visions of a dream are from God?

Now that is NOT to say that God CANNOT use the visions which Satab sends to us by dreams (and lest we forget, Satan is always trying to duplicate everytbing God does), as the means of drawing us to Himself. I believe that this is what happened in your case! So please! Cease labelling me as some reprobate or heretic or perhaps worse. I am NOT attacking you, nor am I discrediting anything you've experienced. In fact, I thank God for it, seeing that God used it for your good.

So, please, just answer my one simple question, and cease the personal attack!

well, it's easy to forget that we traditionally do not discuss religion or politics among friends for a reason. So, we come here, make friends, and do it anyway

On the contrary...

I use AFF as a "sounding board" of my beliefs, hoping to be challenged by the best out there.
Many times, when dealing with tough questions, the Holy Ghost just "scrolls" related passages in my thoughts to answer folks.
I love having questions sprung on me I have never dealt with before...it's sometimes challenging and fun!

If I am wrong, I will thank the person showing me the mistake I made and stop teaching it.

I have NO concern about being made wrong somehow.

I have openly explained how debating folks over the years has made me rethink some things and go against the "traditions" of many of our contemporaries.
We will leave the rapture subject alone here.(I have seen your eloquent "lectures" against it already) It is not even an argument because I know the Bible teaches it clearly and the Holy Ghost confirmed it to me.
We will go to our graves with our beliefs and experiences to see who was right!
I am fine with that on the subject of the Rapture of the Church.
