She really didn't need to bring it but placed it in her bag and walked to the bus stop. At the enclosure, she encountered a homeless man who was shivering. He asked for 50 cents to get on the bus.
This woman gave him the 50 cents and said "Sir, you look like you're cold. Here, have my jacket."
Two gentlemen witnessed her act of love and one commented to the other "You see ... there are still good people in this world".
Months later, as she was boarding a bus ... a man coming off at the same time ... yelled out "It's YOU!!" ... she of course was startled ... and mustered enough courage to say "Me?" ...
"Yes ... YOU!!! I saw you give your jacket to a homeless man on the coldest day of the year an it CHANGED MY LIFE, FOREVER. My marriage was failing. I was an alcoholic and out of work ... but your act of kindness changed my whole view on life ... and I'm here today a changed man."
Don't know how it relates ... but take it for what it's worth.

I love stories like that.
There was a man in Northern Illinois who was an alcoholic, and a total bum. His wife was on the verge of leaving him and his job had let him go.
Then one day a home missions pastor offered an invitation to a home fellowship group. The church had been organized for several years, but was too poor to purchase or rent a facility.
The man came out of sheer lonliness.
He received the Word and responded to it. He became the pastor's right hand man. His whole life changed. His pastor eventually left the fledgling work, but the former alcoholic felt a call to the ministry. He received ministerial credentials. He was appointed pastor. The church grew to one of the largest in the state of Illinois.
All because of one conversation. One offer of fellowship. One opportunity to escape lonliness.
