We have failed this genration.
We have failed succeding generations.
We have failed the world.
We have failed ourselves.
But most importantly, we have failed God.
Is it too late?
No, but unless God's people, which are called by His name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

We??? We? How have WE? failed in all of these?
I will readily admit that
we regularly disappoint God in our decisions... etc
But I didn't make this decision. I abhor this decision.

It is not over, not yet. Do I have control over what our Judicial branch decides to do? No, but it is not a failure on my part or Christian's parts. Christians as a group have failed many things but not these things. We have failed to accurately portray the love that God has for these people identifying themselves as homosexual.
Christians have failed to humble themselves and be meek in response to the calculated and patient attack on our values. It is not our job to make up people's minds it is our job to inform them of the mind of God. What His opinion of certain issues is. If they choose to accept it, wonderful. If they choose to ignore it, we pray for them. We teach our children to love the sinner and hate the sin as God does. We pray..... and pray.... and pray..... and pray..... and pray.....
I will readily admit that I have
FAILED to pray as much as I should. I have
FAILED to mourn the sin of this world as much as I should. I have
FAILED to be as meek as I should so I will inherit the earth. I have
FAILED to hunger and thirst for righteousness so I will be filled.
This decision is not my failure. But, I am not dead, yet. I have a chance to repent and succeed in correcting
MY failures and be successful in doing the things I should. If we do what we should and act in the manner we are biblically mandated to act and pray, maybe things will change. I know if we do at the very least we will be changed.
