Gifts of the Spirit

Hey everyone!
For those who believe tongues are necessary for salvation, do you believe someone can operate in another gift of the spirit and not have tongues but still be saved? Ex- Maybe they don't speak in tongues but have the gift of interpretation and they operate in it.

Thoughts?
