We have one son "the rough and tough kind...." he pastors and he has a motorcycle group of brothers that go out and evangelize!

So beloved we are all different....God uses each one of us in different ways according to the need in the body...I prefer a teaching service over a shouting service but both are needful!

I like slow songs...others like fast songs....We need each one in the body of Christ...and we need those angels that have been singing holy trillions of years to continue singing Holy....
I loved all the verses you posted... what a wonderful collection of praise to the Lord! And I agree, it does take all kinds to worship the Lord... and if you are not a loud worshiper, I don't think that lowers you in the eyes of God, or if you are a quiet worshiper, but worshiping the Lord with all your heart... that doesn't change how God receives your worship either... whatever you do, worship Him in spirit and in truth, for the Father seeketh such to worship Him.

After hearing multiple times from the pulpit "the bible says God inhabits the praise of His people", I finally looked it up to verify that's what it says...it doesn't really say that...and the focus of that verse is actually Gods holiness and not so much "inhabiting Israel's praise."
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. - Psalm 22:3

The verse declares that God, who inhabits the praises of his people, is holy.

The word inhabits means (technically) to sit down. The idea is not that God "shows up when people praise him" (that is actually expressed elsewhere). Rather the idea is that God is enthroned in the praises of his people. Which is obvious - our praises exalt him and declare that he is King. More importantly, the scriptures depict the throne of God as surrounded by celestial beings giving eternal, on going praise and worship. From a practical standpoint, this means when we praise God WE ENTER THE THRONEROOM and participate in the heavenly worship. ALL WORSHIP IS FOR OUR PRACTICAL BENEFIT. God has declared he has no need of any acts of worship. Therefore worship is a necessity due to our nature. It changes us, enabling us to get on God's page and into HIS "state of mind" if you will.

The distinction between inhabiting the praises of his people vs inhabiting Israel is one of perspective. More importantly, no verse or passage teaches "under the old covenant God dwelt in the people's praises, but under the new covenant he dwells in the people themselves." The supposed contrast (as stated) does not scripturally exist. The verse is not referring to any individual Israelite but to the covenant nation as a whole.

And that verse has always been, and always be, true.

well, Grace doesn't seem to mean much to many others. If you had to pick one, which would it be?

When we get to heaven by His grace, we won't have that choice. We will praise him without hindrance!

And everyone will be loud over there.

As a matter of fact I can't wait to grab Sister Flounnie Webb by the hand and run the streets of Gold !

Re: The Effects of A Loud Shout | Raul Alvear Jr.

When my wife and I taught Mary Brown and Carl Geller Bible Study they died Acts 2:38 saved. Both within one year of each other. Carl was 81 and Marry was 85, brother and sister.

When I get there.
They are going to have brand-new bodies, I'm going to find them both. And we're going to shout on the hills of Glory!

I don't believe anyone here doubts that or is against a sincere worshiper making noise.

I view praise and worship in the same way I do someone who feels to praise in the dance. Those that do not choose to dance should not be made to feel less spiritual, because there are other methods of praise that are just as effective.

In one particular service, a person got out of their pew and ran around the church. The preacher said, "There is your TRUE worshiper!!!", as though no one else in the room qualified.

There is no doubt the exuberant person running the aisles was sincere in his worship, however, the "many" other people with hands raised and tears streaming down their faces were also sincere. A person's response is going to vary according to his personality. I heard a pastor, once say, "If you can't raise your voice, you need to change your personality."

It is a shame to qualify a person's relationship with God on the volume of their voice - is the point.

"My foot standeth in an even place; in the congregation will I bless/barak (cause to kneel) the Lord (Psalm 16:12)
