Jesus was speaking to Jewish pharisees under the Law, not gentiles. Also, he was speaking specifically of the Mosaic tithe, not the system you refer to as tithing. Jesus never taught "you ought o give 10% of your weekly monetary pay". Thus you are not obeying the words of Jesus.

Ok maybe that was too strong for your soft hands.

How's this? Baptists are lost and on their way to hell and have not the Spirit of God to discern the Spiritual Word of God.

If you don't need the Spirit of God to illuminate the word as the lamp stand did it the tabernacle.

Then let's just take their word for it.

I've read plenty of trinitarian works.

But will never, will I formulate my doctrine from theirs.

That's how the church got in this mess.
Wow then what does that say about you? You do have the Holy Ghost and still lack the discernment to see you're teaching false doctrine on tithing.

Re: Your tithes were already paid.

Funny thing is, the modern tithe doctrine was formulated by trinitarians and evangelicals.

I see you cannot answer the questions I asked either...
Ah, so I guess Investopedia is right and the Holy Bible is wrong? I gave you the scripture showing the relationship between money and tithe. I see you ignored that.

As for the questions you asked, I didn't see any questions?

Re: Your tithes were already paid.

My conclusion:

The modern 'tithe' teachers cannot find their doctrine in the Scripture. They use obfuscation and misdirection, equivocation, and numerous other fallacies when they are confronted with the simple question: "Where is your teaching found taught in the Bible?" I have proven before the modern tithe doctrine is a Johnny-come-lately doctrine. I have proven that money was not acceptable as a means of 'paying' tithes. Others have also shown quite simply and plainly that commanded tithes were only on food products, not wages or assets.

And the modern tithe doctrine defenders simply cannot support their doctrine from Scripture, nor from simple reason. I do however see that they will never retreat, or admit the doctrine is indeed not scriptural. (Like arguing doctrine with Jehovah's Witnesses or hard-core traditionalist catholics...)

Therefore, I conclude that I will give as the Lord leads, and as opportunity presents itself, and anyone teaching the modern tithe doctrine simply doesn't know what they are teaching, and are unwilling to unlearn their error.

There is therefore, an impasse. I am confident, however, that what I believe is in fact thus sayeth the Lord, because I only believe as doctrine what is actually WRITTEN in the Holy Bible. Others can believe whatever they want, whether it's modern " tithing" falsely so-called, three divine persons, the Faithful and discreet Slave, the angel Moroni, the Revelation from Gabriel to Muhammad, Sri Krsna, Baba Yaga, Baha'i, hitching a ride on the next comet, 'sowing a seed of faith' to make a tv preacher rich, or whatever people's hearts desire...

If we are to accept what you guys say. That the words Jesus spoke to the Pharisees that day about tithing was done away. We would have no scripture requiring one to be born again.

Luke 11:42
But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

For Jesus gave us clearly. That beautiful message of salvation when he spoke to Nicodemus and ruler of the Jews, a Pharisee one of the Sanhedrin.

John 3:1-8
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

What you are failing to grasp is that the Christ's words concerning the new birth were prophetic in nature and would be fulfilled and implemented at Pentecost. The ushering in of the new birth was the ushering in the new covenant and the abolition of the Law with it's ordinances, including the tithe Jesus rebuked the pharisees over.

Our brother is all over the place concerning rightly dividing the word of God.

Who was Jesus conversing with?

#1 New Testament church Disciples?

#2 Scribes and Pharisees (under the law)?

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
