Re: Changing To Preterism from Rapture Doctrine
My fear of God, however, became a love for God, over a period of time.....
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

There are many Christian faiths' that dont believe in the consequence of eternal damnation.
However, it does kinda allow them to interpret scriptures anyway that want, without the fear of the wrath of God.
I was saved and gave up my former "fun and games" lifestyle for fear of eternal damnation.
I guess I am just a chicken,(reading His word and the fear of being lost, put a fear of His wrath in me, causing me to repent)

Sean,
What is the greatest commandment of the Law?
Answer that and you will understand why I hate the doctrine of fear and manipulation that dispensationalism pushes.

You know what? I also had my fear of being lost as my propellant for salvation go away and be replaced by my Love for Jesus take it's place.
When that happened then a funny thing happened.
I started seeing dispensationalism as the manipulation for what it truly was.
Keep studying Sean, you will get there.

So you do not agree with(or hate) the message of this passage in Jude?
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

I think you lost TOO MUCH fear, when you adopted the preterists' ideas!

When are you going to learn to read? The context is not to cause them to fear hell, rather for the Christian to fear that the unsaved person will be lost.
Jud 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
Jud 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Jud 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
Jud 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Jud 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
Jud 1:25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Loren.....
Think about the consequences of being lost .
Think about it before you post, Loren,

It's swine we're dealing with, brethren. Swine. Seriously.
