I too support of the Dour Resolution.

It would also be another mark of "seperation" that seems so important to OP's.
If they did this then not only would the women be easy to spot at Wal Mart and the Mall "showing their glory" but the men would be distinctive also!!!
As it is they can look like every other guy in the world. With my idea when you see a group of OP men you would KNOW they are "different" and "peculiar" (just like their wives) since they would all be bald as cue balls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey, now, you behave yourself, mister!!!! My husband is well on his way to that 'distinction' (or is it extinction - of his hair, anyway), so one of these days we will be the couple that will fit your post.

It seems as if the burden is always on the woman to look different. Someone mentioned earlier that the first thing a woman did when she backslid was to cut her hair. I think a woman cuts her hair because it is easier to fix and she also looks better. I don't thinks she says " I am going to be rebellious so I am going to cut my hair!" Perhaps the aggravation of having shaggy hair and not being able to fix it could be one of the reasons she backslid anyway. There are many too many other ways to be rebellious if one so chooses.

I have to disagree about the easier to fix and looks better. You did not see my new hairdo.Sorry but it took longer to fix before it was long. One side does good and the other does not.Plus I spent a bundle at the salon etc.Not all of us who have long hair have shaggy hair.Speak for yourself

Ms. marthaolivia, if you really and truly believe the sentence I bolded in your post, then I am concerned about your understanding of what a relationship with Jesus is all about.

Why did Paul mention the hair deal in his letter to The Corinthian believers ,and not mention it in his other Epistles ?
What significance did this have to the church in Corinth ?
What is the background behind Paul's explaination to the church ?

He wrote several things to this church that he does not address elsewhere. The fact that they are not mentioned elsewhere, does not invalidate them. Consider the teaching and correction regarding the operation of spiritual gifts.
Perhaps he words would be an appropriate response...

Yes my dearest Brother In Christ ,I understand this but there must have been a reason that Paul brought this up in His Epistle to Corinth though.

Like they were having "problems" with abusing the spiritual gifts, they most likely had headship, submission, and other going against "practice" issues.
