Should I Pray Or Not Pray?
It's cold outside.
I have to go outside.
I put on my coat.
I put on my ski hat or toboggan.
I am outside and I have the desire, the unction to pray.
Should I pray or not?
Of course I think I should pray-- but should I take off my toboggan to pray?
It's cold outside here in Cleveland!

You go outside to pray?
I thought you were supposed to assemble with the church? More people the more BTUs?

Re: Should I Pray Or Not Pray?
Forget this whole cold, outside, pray thing. I want to know if you are still going to your new church and still ecstatic about it??? Inquiring minds want to know!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Well I didn't go back this Sunday. The usher stepped on my toe and the preacher preaches too long.
There is a church down the street that has a drive through lane where I can get the singing-sermon combo and be done by 10:45!
