For a lot of threads and posts on the subject just search the AFF forum using the search feature.

Basicaly "three steppers" are the traditional OP (Oneness Pentecostal) view that salvation is a three step process of 1. Repentance, 2. Water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus, and 3. The baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

"One steppers" are those that believe that ones salvation is secured upon repentance and accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior. Of course that is really only the beginning and most "one steppers" believe that water baptism is very important and that all Christians should want to do it as it is something Jesus felt was important enough that he himself did it and all Christians should want to identify themselves with the Lord through the act of baptism. We just don't condemn people to hell if they have not done that yet.

My church would be a further deviation from a "one stepper" Oneness Pentecostal church as we do not consider the trinity as being a belief in "3 Gods" as I was taught trinitarians believed and we do not believe any human has a full understanding of the godhead. So we are not considered a "Oneness" church by "Oneness" folks as we don't argue against trinitarian doctrine. We would make the case that we are in fact "Oneness" though since we believe in one God. We also baptize in Jesus name.

If you click on this link and find the "baptism weekend" button you can watch one of our baptism service sermons for more info on our doctrine.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
