To be fair...
I don't speak Chinese but I have a friend from China named Yanyu. I don't call her Janey. So should I call her my English equivalent just because I don't speak Chinese?
So some people in the world who aren't Jews that don't speak Hebrew, or don't have Hebrew as their first language want to call the Lord by His Hebrew/Aramaic name?
I haven't seen anyone here claiming anyone MUST do so.
What I have seen is a conflation of those on this forum who call Jesus "Yeshua" and the extreme Sacred Name folks who make it a salvation issue by those who are arguing against the idea of advocating Jesus should be called Yeshua.
Even Jesus and Iesous are pretty far removed from each other (GEE-zus vs. Yay-sous), phonetically speaking. In fact, Iesous has much more in common with the Hebrew/Aramaic version than the English version.
The point being, the Son of God still responds to any and all of us who call upon Him or pray the Father in His name, without respect of persons or how each of us has chosen to address Him.
Besides, to say it's neo-cultic nonsense to call the Lord Yeshua likewise means, and especially so, that once upon a time, it was also neo-cultic nonsense to call Him Jesus, because that English equivalent has existed for far less of time than the name Yeshua.
