Maybe because he doesn't want to play the game "is God the Universe's great enabler?" Anyway their was a woman caught in adultery she had no accuser's, Jesus then tells her that He has no accusation against her, go and sin no more. Jesus heals a man. Yet, tells this man to sin no more less something worse happen to him. How did Judeans and Israelis stay in right standing with God prior to the Cross? But that isn't how people see it, they see "Christians" have a god whose forgiveness is just a band-aid on a bullet wound. The wound is a squirting, bleeding mess, while the band-aid hangs by its adhesive oh so precariously. The rest of the world turns to the "Christian" and tells them "hey, that is some hole you have there." While the "Christian" says, "but it's covered!" The masses just shake their head and walk off into oblivion, because they can't believe how someone who believes in Jesus Christ is such a gory mess.
Jesus told people they were forgiven but they needed to get out of the sinning business John 5:14, John 8:11. They needed to represent, they needed to walk in the light as He is in the light 1 John 1:6-7. Not holding on to His NAME JESUS while performing miracles until their judgement day when He tells them GET LOST, I NEVER EVER KNEW YOU!
This country has been saturated by a prison ministry Jesus, who tells child rapists that they are forgiven, but they can never be free from their sinning behavior. Band-aid on a bullet wound boys, Band-aid on a bullet wound.

Grace is too good to be true for many people. It's hard for them to believe we can't save ourselves. All that striving, all that hard work, all of that sacrifice---it should earn us something right?

I have never said I know for a fact his eternal destiny. I said that I read an account where Hudson repented before his death.
IF he truly repented---God only knows---but IF he repented, according to the scriptures, he was forgiven.
