Not sure who you're talking to, but my answer is trinitarians believe God existed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit for all eternity past, having no beginning, and interacting with each other, conscious of each other, and loving each other like a group, and are called three persons. Oneness teaches God is one person, had no one to interact with for eternity past, right up until He manifested in flesh as Son of God. The Son had His beginning in that incarnation, and only after that point was there interaction, but it was not between eternal persons, since the Son is not eternal. He's just God manifested in flesh remaining one person, and the only reason there was interaction from that point onward is because he would not be a genuine human being otherwise. It was THAT complete of a manifestation in flesh that the humanity actually relied on deity and prayed, etc.

Re: Is this where we are headed?

hmm. i'll have to meditate on that, but right away i see many conflicts with other Scripture, "before anything was, i knew you," "i was there at the beginning," etc.

Could you quote the words in bold using the KJV, please. I don't
understand the other versions.

maybe...

maybe I should clear it up. Love me a good move of God in that most Apostolic way. seriously. I love a blowout service. I love the movement of the spirit. I believe in it.

I also believe in that quite move of the spirit in my personal life, and in church.

BUT there are more than one spirit.... and only ONE Spirit is good. The rest aint God and aren't good. period.

I don't do scary movies. I especially don't do those movies that get into spiritualism...Omen etc....

BUT I also will not watch a video of some charismatic goofiness. its a spirit that isn't God. I don't separate them out.

is that more clear? Its an extreme position, but I see no difference between a youtube of some charismatics doing the hokie pokie and claiming geebus and some terrible movie.

Wickedness is profuse. Saints lack depth and experience. What many perceive to be the Shadow of His Wings, is not so. Some are worship-addicts. They worship for what they get out of it (i.e. catharsis, usually). But when the worship experience doesn't deliver the high they are used to receiving, they move on to a harder form of worship, if you catch my drift.

I have seen all sorts of weird and un-Biblical things in the Apostolic/Pentecostal movement. It is rarely rebuked, even if the elders don't agree with it. They seek to appease and not hurt feelings, but in the process, weak and fragile souls become convinced offering God strange fire is the path to true spirituality. Monkey see, monkey do.

Compare Elijah's worship of God to the Baal worshipers. They performed all sorts of crazy things to get their god's attention. Elijah merely kept pouring water on the sacrifice. His God answered by fire (most likely lightning). Many Apostolic Pentecostals are trying to generate their own fire in worship, thinking it's coming from God, when it's not.

"Study to be quiet" has been erased from many Apostolic Pentecostal Bibles.
100% truth!

This desperate, do whatever it takes to get God's attention so He will move and bless is bad theology. God is omniscient. His eyes are upon the righteous. He sees and He knows, and for the Spirit-filled, He is as close as He will and can ever be, this side of Glory.
Again---really really in agreement here.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Is this where we are headed?

The entire charismatic movement reminds me of people who had to be told these words of Paul....

1 Corinthians 14:23 KJV (23) If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?

...and that was with a viable element like tongues. And these jokers are gone hog-wild with HOKIE POKIE!!!

The Corinthians were a dream for Paul compared to this charismania!
