Re: The Best Thing About Church?
1.) Regarding the universal church:
I think the very best thing about the universal church is that she is the Bride of Christ, and through her, by being a member, I, along with all other members, get to personally experience "marriage", as it were, to the Lord Jesus. I find nothing better than knowing that I can, have, and will eternally exist with Christ in perfect, blessed union.
2.) Regarding my local assembly/church:
The adamant insistence on allowing, even making sure, that Jesus Christ alone is the Head of the Church, and of every member, in all matters. It was what I was seeking for so many years, and by His grace and faithfulness to my heart's cry, He led me and my family to where we needed to be.
