21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using; ) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
I think Paul's point is that a lot of outward standards, be they traditions of men or outward law keeping, look wise and serve to demonstrate will power, look all humble, and appear to deny the flesh.... but they don't actually quench the inherent desires of the flesh.
I don't know, I feel like I don't really know a lot about this stuff sometimes.

That's exactly what I believe Paul meant in that passage.

Re: Law was an impossible system to keep
1Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
Who may live on your holy mountain?
2The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
3whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;
4who despises a vile person
but honors those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
and does not change their mind;
5who lends money to the poor without interest;
who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
Whoever does these things
will never be shaken.

Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Acts 15: 10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Re: Law was an impossible system to keep
Christ fulfilled what we could not. We could not keep the Law. And, any inference today that we must keep any of the Law now to be saved removes grace from the entire equation. The only hope for salvation, for our being saved, for our staying saved, is through Jesus and His finished work. We are saved (sozo) by grace through faith, not of works, either of the Law or of our own religious "good works". We are saved by Jesus, Kept in Jesus by Jesus, and we bear fruit because of Jesus. As believers, we rest in His finished work. We abide in Him and He in us, not of our own power, but because of Christ within us and through us! In other words, the Law cannot save, neither can keeping the impossible system of the Law! We are saved by grace through faith in Christ alone!

According to Bill's website/blog, he (again?) believes in one God in three persons.
