I've got family from Chicago. Never heard them talk like that. But, if what Mel Blanc was going for was Chicagoan, then, okay, I'll take it.

Mel Blanc was the voice actor who supplied all the cartoon voices for Warner Brothers studio.

I rubbed shoulders with him when I was young. He was a very nice guy. No, he never did his cartoon voices for me. Outside the offices of Warner Brothers, there are large statues of Donald Duck and Buggs Bunny.

Mel would be proud to see them.
