Which btw it seems that we as humans are not able to do, for reasons that
are definable, so at some point i think one must reflect upon the wisdom of saying nothing, and admitting that perhaps those with the most understanding are saying the least, not that i'm sure that that is appropriate in a forum, but i have witnessed the Amish practice of...Silence--i forget what they call it--and how it functions quite well in addressing sin, although it is counter-intuitive to most Christians.
i think it also indicates that the most Spiritual things that one might say cannot even be heard by those without ears for it--which we use as a put down but all suffer from--the intent here being to focus on the speaker, and not the hearer. I believe this is what Christ--and Paul, later--meant when they said that they have things to tell us that we cannot hear, and does not mean that Christ needs someone else to explain Him.
Christ did not have a slip of the tongue when He suggested that they drink His Blood and eat His Body, and transubstantiation is, i'm sorry, a damned lie, or else Christ would have filled a cup with His Blood, etc. Christ intentionally used the most offensive way to phrase that concept to a Jew, who held drinking blood to be a capital offense. The why of it is hard to grasp, until one reflects upon what He surely really meant, which i cannot define for you, but for me means "make room for your life in Christ, and not the other way around." "don't define Christ, let Christ define you." Even "if Christ is a comfortable concept for you, you have not met Christ yet."
Which i amply demonstrate, for instance, in my less thoughtful answers to you, as well as many other ways.
Lord Jesus, please don't come back yet!
