As for abandoning principles, when evangelical conservative Christians who claim allegiance to Christ, His teachings, and principles, line up behind a foul mouthed, unrepentant adulterer, who is a casino tycoon, publicly lascivious, and a serial liar and slanderer, all the while telling everyone else that this man is God's choice. That is abandoning moral and religious principles. Even if we only talked about political principles, he has flip flopped on every policy issue in this election cycle. He has no principles, and those blindly or gullibly following him have set theirs aside for politics.

By your standard there has never been a candidate you could vote for. They do not exist. Oh many have professed Christ, but what was the outcome? They were just as active in selling out this country as the others. By "values" can be summed up in two words, "religious liberty". A candidate does not have to be living the way I think he should in his personal life to get my vote. What I want to know is, will he not use the Executive Branch to attack my faith? Will he veto bills from Congress that attack my faith? Will he appoint judges that defend my faith? We Christians have been barking up the wrong tree for years. Instead of focusing on moral issues we should have been focusing on the Constitution.
