I served 8 years in the Army. The first 3 years, I served as a 19K. The remaining 5, I served as a 91B10. My last assignment was HHT 2ND/107th Armored Cav. I'm no communist.
Here's my beef....
We are told we don't have enough money to pay for Medicare, Social Security, Universal Health Insurance, renewable energy, veterans benefits, or to rebuild our national infrastructure. However, they always find enough money for multiplied billions in corporate subsidies for corporations recording record profits, trillions for war, trillions for Wall Street bailouts, multiplied billions in oil subsidies, and massive tax cuts for the top 1% of the richest Americans.
I'm not a communist. I'm simply done with seeing our tax dollars NOT returning to us, the middle class American tax payers, in much needed services that are truly for the common welfare of all citizens. We pay it, we should be seeing far more of it coming back our way. We're better than this, and America needs to dream big again. We didn't put a man on the moon by by thinking small. Anything the rest of the Western world can do, we can do better...we just need the robber barons to stop plundering the public trust.
