It's sad really. Because both the Bible and science agree. The sins of the fathers can be visited upon a people generations after the fact, because those sins remain in them. There is no good thing in our flesh. It is fallen and corrupt, filled with evil desires and impulses. The desires of the flesh will indeed lead to bondage and eternal damnation. But one can be set free from this bondage through spiritual regeneration provided by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. One can be made a new creature and be freed from all affliction and infirmity of the flesh. One can gain strength through the Holy Spirit to overcome the flesh and any desires that come from it.

Science is only now starting to confirm what Paul taught us nearly 2,000 years ago.

Anyone who thinks that the biochemical effects of hormones don't affect the brain and thereby affect one's moods, thoughts, and behaviors, has clearly never lived with a woman longer than a month and paid attention to her.

Anyone who thinks that the biochemical effects of hormones don't affect the brain, behavior, and sexual desire has clearly never lived with a woman who suffers from low estrogen levels.

And what tells the various cells in your body to be what they are and presents to them the directions by which they are to function? Your genetics.

And if mother suffers from low serotonin or estrogen levels, why are her children prone to suffer from the same issues? Genetics.

Why do healthy men who struggle with ED, lack of energy, and sexual desire seek to increase testosterone? Because testosterone affects one's brain and how it regulates the functionality of the entire male body. Increasing levels of testosterone to normal will help remedy some forms of ED, lack of energy, and lack of sexual desire.

It's all biochemical science as it relates to hormone levels. Don't believe hormones effect control the body's functionality? Let me guess, you never grew pubic hair? lol You've never experienced your hair turning grey? You've never experienced your hair thinning or falling out? You, balding, pot-bellied stallion you, you're a bowl of biochemical processes! LOL

Understanding this isn't denying the Bible or the truths of God. It is simply knowing how the flesh works.

Regeneration is a spiritual reality that takes place in one's "inner man" (the spirit). It doesn't change your biology. That's "Glorification" and will take place at Christ's return. Until Christ returns, those of us who have experienced regeneration are still contending with our unregenerated flesh and its desires. That's why we must renew our minds daily and keep our flesh under subjection.

Self-denial is a virtue.

We naturalize things too much. The -isms and the -etics and the -phies all are natural oriented issues. Depth of truth is not mentally-fascinating things. It is self-denial, righteousness, and peace. The blood of Jesus does more spiritually than physically, and the spiritual overwhelms the physical. It's not about how many -etics we know, and learning more and more of them is not impressive to Lord.

As we do not need the Qu'ran to understand prophecy, we do not need science theoretical books to understand the blood of Jesus and a changed life and to counsel people to live overcoming lives. It's the same curiosity that gets people in Enochian conspiracies and UFOlogy that gets people into the -etics too much.
