Years ago our church hosted an Endtime prophecy event as an outreach to the community. It was centered around one particular teacher and certain events that were soon to unfold involving George Bush. We had tons of sinners come to that event and not one of them got saved. None of the events we told them were going to happen actually happened. In my opinion, it may have cast some shadow on the reputable nature of our church in the minds of some who attended, however I pray not.
It was a learning point for me and I honestly feel that our church has matured past that kind of sensationalism as well. I wish all of Pentecost would stop playing the guessing game and just preach the Gospel and be led of the Holy Ghost. Give us a few
Acts 5 experiences and we wont need sensationalism to put fear in people's hearts.
