Re: More on Skirts
That Jonathan Edwards ... how dare he preach of "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God!"
"O sinner! Consider the fearful danger you are in: it is a great furnace of wrath, a wide and bottomless pit, full of the fire of wrath, that you are held over in the hand of that God, whose wrath is provoked and incensed as much against you, as against many of the damned in hell. You hang by a slender thread, with the flames of divine wrath flashing about it, and ready every moment to singe it, and burn it asunder; and you have no interest in any Mediator, and nothing to lay hold of to save yourself, nothing to keep off the flames of wrath, nothing of your own, nothing that you ever have done, nothing that you can do, to induce God to spare you one moment."

Another stupid post. Mercy may be "weak" to you but for me it is the power of God unto salvation.
( Rom 1:16 KJV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
( Rom 5:8 KJV) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
I will not condemn people. i will leave that to you and "your group". As for me I will build people up ( Eph 4:12) and join with Peter:
(2Pe 3:18 KJV) But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
You can keep your condemnation and demand that people be perfect before allowing them to join your group. I will watch those I know grow in God's grace and knowledge.
You are the real Pharisee...

Remember when Paul admonished the Corinthians to disfellowship a man who was sleeping with his step-mother? Was Paul being a Pharisee???
Or are you just gutless against sin, and what YOU have demanded to be defined as an abomination???

You have miserably failed to demonstrate where I do not apply Deu. 22:5 to other articles of clothing.
Try again. As I said before, a false allegation.

Re: More on Skirts
Look Pliny... YOU wanted to insist that pants on a woman is an ABOMINATION. I'm just curious as to why you're not willing to address it as such outside of academic debate?

Re: More on Skirts
What's the use in calling pants on a woman an ABOMINATION if y'all just treat it like she needs to lay off the pop and drink diet??? ROFL!

Neither is mercy.
I hope you do not get a nose bleed from setting yourself up on Christ's throne and I hope you do not drown from having your nose stuck up so high in the air - when it rains.
There may come a time when I have to "kick someone out" but that will only be after much prayer and fasting. If I err, it will be on mercy's side. You can keep your legalistic judgments away from me.

Origin of T-shirts....
History of the T-shirt.
The dubbed "T-shirt" surfaced in the United States when they were issued by the U.S. Navy sometime around the Spanish American War. They featured crew-necks and short sleeves and were meant to be worn as underwear beneath the uniform. Soon it was adopted by the Army as part of the standard issue ensemble given to recruits. It got its iconic name from its shape resembling the letter "T". Dockworkers, farmers, miners, and construction type workers also adopted the T-shirt preferring the lightweight fabric in hotter weather conditions.
The inexpensive cotton and easy to clean garment became the shirt of choice by mothers for their sons as outerwear for chores and play. By the 1920's "T-shirt" became an official American-English word in the Merriam-Webster's Dictionary.
Credit of the first printed tee (at least being worn in a photo) often goes to the Air Corps Gunnery School T-shirt featured on the July 13th, 1942 cover of LIFE magazine. Mickey Mouse would follow suit a few years later as an exclusively licensed print for Tropix Togs, a company founded by Sam Kantor in Miami, Florida.
Aside from veterans and blue collar workers, the popularity of the T-shirt skyrocketed to even greater heights when Marlon Brando wore one in A Streetcar Named Desire. It became fashionably cool to wear as an outer garment.
T-shirts are men's clothing. Are you willing to admit that in your view, a woman wearing a T-shirt is committing abomination (for whatever that's worth to a conservative) or are you going to be a raging hypocrite and ignore women wearing an article of men's apparel???
