Let me tell you why I think it is important.
In our culture, Western Civilization, for thousands of years pants have been distinctly masculine garments.
In our current culture there is extreme gender confusion. Allowing men to have distinctive clothing affirms their masculinity. Affirms that there is a difference in the sexes.
