And you are right about sisters spending so much time on their hair. All the misunderstood preaching about the hair being given to women as her "glory" seems to make women feel justified in doing up their hair in extravagant styles.
Just saying that, in all things, we need to be watchful of what we're doing and why we're doing them.

What is interesting is that there is Scripture admonishing women not to engage in such extravagant styling of the hair:
1 Peter 3:3-4 King James Version (KJV)
3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
Plaiting of the hair was an extravagant form of hair styling in Paul's day.
