Now, Amanah, you are behaving well...

Is Jesus speaking to you personally here?....

37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

It is what I asked you to teach me.

Did you forget? Or maybe you do not (cannot) answer it yourself??

Here's what I posted:

I await your tutelage.
So, Sean, get to teaching me John 20.

Speaking of "deflecting," you never did answer this:

Is it "applicable" for YOU today?

Please, explain how the Ark's building plans to escape a worldwide flood is to Noah and you?

Please, explain how descendants suffering Egyptian enslavement for 400 years is to Abraham and you?

Please, explain how a list of plagues to judge Egypt is to Moses and you?

Please, explain how Heavenly directions to erect a tent in the wilderness is to Moses and you?

Please, explain how marching orders to overcome Jericho is to Joshua and you?

Please, explain how a prophetic message foretelling a Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem and her Temple is to Jeremiah and you?

Please, explain how a Persian King's edict to rebuild Jerusalem and her Temple is to Zerubbabel and you?

Please, explain how the 30 pieces of silver given to Judas is to Zechariah and you?

Please, explain how Jesus saying to tarry in Jerusalem for the Holy Ghost is to His disciples and you?

Of course, none of the above speak directly to you. Instead each was spoken directly to the audience that first received it and was specifically for the time period in which it was fulfilled.

Your post omits the fact that the Bible is not written TO us but FOR us. Fulfilled prophecy gives a student of God's Word 20/20 vision. This perfect vision allows them to see what was told, why it was told, how it was received, and how it turned out. From this, the student can rightly divide the word of truth and apply the lesson they gleaned to their walk of faith.

Here's where the Bible tells us to do exactly that:
Romans 15:4....For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

1 Corinthians 9:10....Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.

1 Corinthians 10:11....Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Well?

Sure, here is the summary of the chapter....

31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Was this written to you?

Ok, I get it--you can't teach this or even answer it yourself.

Thanks for making my point.
