Or, you could just take up boxing. Follow the coach's advice (you will hate it), and you'll lean out and feel better than ever.

Your protein grams should match your weight.

Lol. I have to get mine through meat. I used a protein powder as a meal replacement and I began to pass some things that looked like large lima beans. Lots of them.

Protein powder used as a meal replacement must be taken with large amounts of water. Meaning after you drink the initial shake.

Protein shakes will likely make you fat and bloated. Best source of protein is meat. Preferably beef. Preferably cooked rare over a flame. With a baked potato stuffed with butter, cheese, and sour cream. And a salad to "even things out".

Although, a protein isolate as a post-workout drink isn't too bad. But that comes between the workout and the post-workout meal, which should be eaten within 1 hour of the workout. And you'll need a large glass of whole milk with the post-workout meal.

It's also good to drink a glass of milk right before bed, in order to provide some protein during the rest phase (since you won't be eating in your sleep).

Re: I Want To Get Fitter!

You guys ever sleep?
How do you guys balance all the weight training, boxing etc, scripture studying, aff posting, and bacon eating, with family time and work? (When one has to work long hours, prioritizing ALL these things can be a struggle).
Esaias, you were posting at 2:30am last night...mercy.
